Who We Are

Transit Line Art is a business started by Mark Chumley, a Santa Monica California based graphic artist and web developer with 25 years of design experience. As a boy growing up within earshot of the Indianapolis 500, Mark would cover his notebooks with detailed drawings of race cars and venture over to the old brickyard for a glimpse of those magnificent machines. Thus began a love affair with art, technology and design.

Following several successful years designing screen prints for a number of firms,, Mark relocated to southern California. After working as an art director for two companies, he began his own businesses, the art and design-oriented, "You Name It Creative Services" then focused on his efforts on web site design firm, WebShaq Media. Successfully tackling an array of projects, Mark developed a versatile set of skills, variety of styles and valuable connections. His easy-to-work-with style, personal service, and fair prices have won him a number of faithful clients. Not one prone to self promotion, his business grew largely by word of mouth with happy customers referring friends and colleagues. This very process is how Mark's relationship with Culver City Municipal Bus Co., Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus, and the 100 Best Fleets began.

To meet the growing demand for his services from transit agencies, Mark launched Transit Line Art in order to meet the special needs of the transit and fleet service industry. Mark and his talented team know the industry’s needs, best practices and provide the specific products and design services required.
